東西ブレイキンセット (Breaking Battle Set)
The "Cold IPA" has a number of elements to how it is brewed that differentiate it from a normal IPA, but the most significant is the use of lager yeast rather than ale yeast, resulting in a clean and crisp character. Originally called an India Pale Lager, considering that with IPA standing for India Pale Ale, "Cold IPA" is technically a minomer, the popularity of the style has grown significantly in recent times thanks to the cleanness of the yeast character allowing extra clarify for the hops to shine through.
We decided with this series to attempt to showcase the best of West Coast and East Coast IPA styles through the medium of the IPL/Cold IPA. As a fitting pairing to enjoy as a comparison, we decided to create a Breaking Set, so why not try this tasting of two coasts?
Sets include 3 cans each of the following products:
- BREAKING - West Coast Ver. (ABV: 6.5%) West Coast Cold IPA
Mix of sweet fruit, citrus and pine come together with a resinous character in this Cold IPA with a soft, dry and clean finish thanks to the cold conditioned lager yeast.
- BREAKING - East Coast Ver. (ABV: 6.5%) East Coast Cold IPA
This hazy East Coast-inspired cold IPA Has heaps of tropical hops, wheat, and oats, giving an easy drinking pillowy mouthfeel accompanied by tropical citrus, berry, and stone fruit flavors.
