We didn’t want to mess with this winning formula too much, but we have made some tweaks, creating a malt bill closer to what you might see in a hazy IPA, with the addition of some wheat and oats to add body to the beer, and bring out more mouthfeel. This included the addition of a small amount of lactose to bring out that fruit smoothie-like character, and balance out some of the loss of sweetness in fermentation.
This beer could be considered closer to a fruit smoothie, with a moderate amount of sharpness, and plenty of character from the passionfruit, guava, mango and banana. All in all, this is a great summertime beverage for those looking for something that is sweet, sour and refreshing!
