With plenty of character from the roasted malts, this is a dark lager perfect for the change from autumn to winter
This release, however, focuses on the richer, fuller side of the lager repertoire: Bock. While there are many faces of the Bock style, one defining characteristic is more malt flavor and ABV than standard lagers. For our version we went on the slightly richer and darker side, blending both light and dark Munich malts for a nice toasty background. To this we added Caramunich malt for a bit more body and richness in flavor, and a hint of Chocolate malt for character.
The result is a full bodied lager with full flavor and color. The lager yeast keeps the finish feeling crisp, so the beer doesn't feel overly sweet. Instead, the rich malt flavors shine through...this is definitely a sipping-lager!
