A super drinkable dry but juicily hopped IPA

[Character]
Belgian IPA with an orange hue, with a soft but semi sweet malt profile. Aroma and flavor brings notes of tropical fruits a berries with a mild undertone of herbal and spice character to compliment the esters of the Belgian yeast.
[Naming]
A lively character, just like his older sister Marina, Marito is a bright spark within the family. Whilst free spirited, Marito has a serious side.
[Brewer's Voice]
The concept for Marito is simple, take what makes Belgian beers unique and lean into that character as an IPA. Belgian yeasts are known for producing an array of tropical esters during fermentation. For Marito, we wanted to layer on those tropical flavors the yeast naturally produces by pairing it with hops that produce similar flavors. We used a blend of Cascade, Strata, And Pacific Jade hops for this beer. The cascade grounds this beer as an IPA with some nice citrus and pine like character. Late addition strata adds the first full layer of tropical fruit with berry, stone fruit and more citrus character. Lastly, we sprinkled some Pacific Jade hops to add a third and final layer of tropical and citrus character, while adding a touch of spice to round everything out. The malt bill is comprised of pilsner with some wheat and oats for the body and a bit of honey malt for some orange color and sweetness to give a little bit of a candied finish to the tropical notes from the hops. This beer is a fun expression of the versatility that we have found in our Belgian yeast strain.
