A classic German lager with just a touch of modernity in the aroma for an ultimately drinkable pils

[Character]
Traditional style German Lager with a touch of modern aromatics. A clean dry straw colored pilsner with a mild bitterness, herb and spice notes, and with just a touch of citrus and berry.
[Food Pairing]
Vegetable tempura, rosemary infused roast pork, mackeral in herb and breadcrumbs
[Naming]
Classic lagers can perhaps be seen as an "every day" beer. They fit a wide variety of situations, and there's nothing really more satisfying than raising a thick glass full of lager. Or that first beer when you get home! Or that one that you crack open at the start of your meal, or drink when you get out of work. This series celebrates the cyclical and every day nature of the world's most popular alcoholic beverage. This product is "Itadakimasu", a rough equivalent of "Bon Appetit". A great one to enjoy with fried food, herbed pork, or white fish.
[Brewer's Voice]
I’m not sure there is much more of a classic and iconic beer style than a German Pilsner. A clean bottom fermented lager with a light amount of hop character that is supremely drinkable. It is such a winning formula, and one of my every-day go-to beers styles. These beers have such a simplicity to them, but their simplicity makes them difficult to brew well, as any flaw in your process will show through in the final product. We stayed true to its origins with this beer, brewing it with 100% German sourced pilsner malt. For the hop character we stayed 100% German varieties but went slightly more modern with our selection, using a combination of Saphir and Hallertau Blanc hops. The Saphir gives the beer offers the more typical spicy and herbal character that you would expect in a German noble hop variety, but it also adds a bit of tangerine like citrus in the background. While Hallertau Blanc is grown in the region for noble hop varieties, Hallertau Blanc deviates from that tradition and contributes mild tropical notes, and gives a grape-like character, with just a touch of lemongrass. This gives the beer a bit more of a modern flavor and aroma without straying too far from its roots. Light in color, crisp dry finish, with a slightly higher carbonation to bring out those delicate aromas, this will definitely be my first pint after work for as long as we have it on tap.
