Offering depth and approachability, balance and character, this is an imperial stout to warm oneself with at the end of a cold day.
[Character]A rich yet easy drinking Imperial Stout full of chocolatey flavors.[Food Pairing]Gateaux chocolat, vanilla ice cream[Naming]At the end of a busy day's work, there's nothing more satisfying than finishing it off with a hard earned beer. While in the summer it might be all well and satisfying to throw back something cold, refreshing and thirst quenching, at this time of year it might be more fitting to relax with something a little less cold, and with a bit more body to go with it. Yoru no Tobari ("yoru" meaning night, and "tobari" meaning veil or mantle) refers to that feeling after getting back home on the cold of a winter's night. Once settling down into the warmth of your living room chair, we feel this is a beer to relax and unwind with on such a late, dark and icy evening.[Brewer's Voice]We have made Veil of Darkness since we opened, but beginning in 2020 we changed the recipe to give the beer a fuller body and richer malt character. What we are really happy about though is that despite the changes, the beer still retains its high drinkability, which was one of its defining characteristics. Where many Imperial Stouts can be quite boozy and an overwhelming flavor experience, Veil of Darkness is typified by its balance. This makes it a perfect fit for its first release in cans!StyleImperial StoutSeriesFreedomABV9.0%IBU50Gas Volume2.4MaltGolden Promise, Carapils, Crystal Medium, DRC, Crystal Dark, Chocolate, Roasted BarleyHopPolaris, WillametteYeastAmerican AleCategoryUnknownJAN4589718740447Best Before2022/06/13
